About D&F
Our Vision and mission
D&F Group B.V. has grown from a company with only 2 employees to one with almost 30 since 1993. D&F helps organisations to analyse, reduce and control safety risks. After all, a risk can lead to an incident, and an incident can lead to an accident.
About 159,000 people die every year in Europe as a result of occupational diseases, and a further 5,500 people die as a result of accidents at work. And that’s why D&F concentrates all its energy and resources on improving safety, since everyone has the right to a safe working environment.
This is how we accomplish a little bit more of our mission every day:
ZERO industrial accidents!
Trends
- Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are today’s international trends.
- Legislation and regulations are becoming increasingly complex. National regulations are shifting towards European and international legislation.
- The claims culture in the USA is becoming more and more evident here. There’s increasing awareness of all kinds of liability, such as product liability and employers’ liability.
- Safety is one of the government’s key objectives, including more personal responsibility for employers and employees alike.
- To get back to our core activities: support services for the environment, health, safety, marketing, IT and maintenance are outsourced to agencies specialising in these areas.
- Insurance companies are giving these matters more attention. They are becoming more cost-conscious and have started examining the causes of accidents and injuries.
- There’s more attention for the human element of safety too, such as a safety culture and the resulting safety-related behaviour.
Strategy
The strategy that D&F uses to create its market is an entire range of products and services at three levels: technical safety (machinery and process safety), safety management, and safety culture and safety-related behaviour.
D&F has created a distinctive style on the market by:
- compiling specific easy-reference reports that can be applied directly in practice
- clear agreements and effective project management
- a central marketing and sales policy
- centrally-controlled product development supported by KneX teams!
- effective investments in our internal organisation
- spending at least 10% of our available time on product development
- working in a matrix organisation with regional offices and horizontal knowledge teams (KneX teams!)
- giving a lot of attention to a shared D&F culture and mentality
