Knowledge development at D&F: KneX!

One of D&F’s biggest success factors has been the setting up of our KneX! teams. KneX! stands for Knowledge eXpert.

What is a KneX team?

A KneX team consists of one KneX!, who is ultimately responsible for knowledge development in the relevant field of expertise. The KneX-team also includes no more than three project team members.

A central KneX day for all D&F staff is held every year, when new developments in the relevant area of knowledge are discussed.

This means that maximum productivity is not required from D&F staff in practice. They spend an average of 10% of their working time on knowledge development by making an in-depth study of the area of knowledge.

KneX! teams

D&F’s aim is to lead the market with respect to technical safety, safety management and safety culture.
A KneX! team has been set up for each of the following areas of knowledge at D&F:

  • Explosion protection
  • CE marking and Work Equipment Directive
  • Pressure equipment
  • Hazardous substances
  • Electrical safety and safety controls
  • Safety culture and safety-related behaviour
  • Safety management systems
  • Process safety and HAZOP
