De Goede Praktijk network organisation helps to compile an Occupational Health and Safety catalogue that actually works in practice. De Goede Praktijk has one single desk providing access to a network of experts in all fields of occupational health and safety such as ergonomics, noise, safety, RI&E, work equipment, chemical risks, and the environment.
The Netherlands Association for Safety Studies (NVVK) is the number one knowledge platform for safety experts in the Netherlands, and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven is its patron. Besides providing a network and information, the NVVK is actively involved in changes in legislation and regulations. The NVVK represents safety experts’ interests as well as contributing specialised knowledge. It focuses on five safety aspects: work, external, consumer, patient and transport safety. A number of working groups are operating in these fields, and there are several working groups which have been organised on a regional basis as well.
Kiki Sip is the NVVK’s chief committee member.
The aim of the WESP section, which forms part of the NVVK (Netherlands Association for Safety Studies), is to promote developments in safety studies and increase its members’ professional knowledge. The WESP concentrates on work equipment and machinery.

The Human Element is a collaborative group set up by the professional association for all core experts (NVVK, BA&O, NVvA, NVAB) and focuses on safety culture and safety-related behaviour or “soft safety”.

The Ministry of Social Affairs & Employment’s Increasing Work Safety Programme Board is a think tank for the Dutch Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MKB Nederland) in which policy for improving culture and behaviour is determined. One example of this is the Culture Change Vouchers for MKB Nederland.
