BEVI

BEVI is the Public Safety (Establishments) Decree of 27 May 2004, which contains environmental quality requirements for external safety at environmental management institutions. BEVI sets requirements for the risks that companies may cause for their environment (Localised Risk). The decree also examines the risks of a disaster involving a group of people (Group Risk). BEVI contains an obligation to clean up the soil for institutions which exceed the statutory limit value of the Localised Risk.

BEVI is partially based on the Spatial Planning Act, and it also influences the granting of environmental permits.
