Machine Safety

An important theme within machine safety is CE marking. Our expertise in this area has developed since the start of the European Directives (Machine, EMC, Low Voltage, ATEX95 and the Pressure Equipment Directive). CE marking is applicable for new machines, but usually also applies to existing machines that are modified or assembled with other machines or equipment.

When a machine is commissioned, D&F provides you the expertise in order to keep the machine in safe condition so that you comply with laws and regulations and so that your employees can continue to work safely with the machine. If needed, we can design ready-to-use solutions in order to get your machine in safe condition again and we guide you during the implementation phase. In the user phase, we can help you with a testing and inspection plan or with Lock-Out/Tag-Out/Try-Out procedure and instructions.

A particular expertise within machine safety is Functional Safety. We have developed a V-model for you, with which we guide you through the process of identification and classification of safety controls (SIL, PL) up until their specification, verification and validation. Our TÜV certified Functional Safety Engineers are at your service to provide this expertise.
